Council Camporee: October 8-10, 2010!

Attention All Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturers and Leaders!


A once in a lifetime experience is here! You have an opportunity to test your unit's skills against the entire Council as we gather for the 100th Anniversary Council Camporee! As we wrap up a year long celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Boy Scouts of America, what better way than to look into the future and dream what scouting has for millions of future Scouts. Our theme, "The Next 100" allows us to envision scouting adventures yet to be discovered. New technologies, skills and opportunities await our youth of today and the next generation. Utilizing Scout Handbooks from the past 100 years and skills of today; units, patrols and Scouts will participate in patrol and troop activities. From semaphore to wireless communication, from map and compass to GPS, scouts will experience the fun and important outdoor skills that their father's learned and their children may experience.

This Camporee will be a Fun, Exciting, Educational and Challenging experience for everyone! There will be two basic areas of competition: Troop activities and patrol activities with static exhibits displaying new and exciting technologies. Outstanding awards and prizes will be available to all attending units. All participants will receive a commemorative centennial patch and unforgettable memories.
